Update 08 May 2025: Standard Cloud upgrades are scheduled for the weekend of 16-17 May (details below). We appreciate your patience with the delayed schedule.

Today we are releasing Jamf Pro 11.16; highlights include:

  • Compliance Benchmarks
Built on the macOS Security Compliance Project (mSCP) framework, compliance benchmarks enables you to automatically implement security standards across Mac devices. Compliance benchmarks supports industry-standard frameworks and automatically generates necessary management settings to enforce security controls. When enabled, compliance benchmarks create and maintain device security baselines through a combination of policies, configuration profiles, scripts, extension attributes, and smart groups, eliminating the need to manually configure individual security controls.

Important: This capability requires logging in to Jamf Pro using Jamf Account (OIDC) single sign-on (SSO). This OIDC-based SSO integration allows you to log in to Jamf Pro with your Jamf ID or a cloud-based identity provider (IdP). For more information, see SSO with OIDC Through Jamf Account in the Jamf Pro Documentation.

  • App Installers Deployment Configuration
You can configure the deployment process for App Installers by specifying the number of InstallEnterpriseApplication commands per batch, scheduling specific times of day and days of the week for deployment, and determining how frequently these batches are prepared.
  • Apple Intelligence Restrictions for Computers and Mobile Devices
New settings include restrictions for external intelligence workspace IDs and Notes transcription summary. Note: These configuration profile settings are also included in Jamf Pro 11.15.2.

For additional information on what's included in this release, review the release notes via the Jamf Learning Hub.

To access new versions of Jamf Pro, log into Jamf Account with your Jamf ID. The latest version is located in the Solutions section under Jamf Pro.

These features were already available in 11.15.2, no?

@statusBrew Yes! Thank you for the call-out. 👍

Shame some of those new features are requiring that OIDC setup.  My org is effectively locked out of that.  Is the requirement on these features a technical one or is it more of a business growth one?

@PCalomeni any update on timelines? assume we're waiting on 11.16.1?

Since it was postponed, will we receive any kind of communication for when it gets rescheduled? This way we can plan and communicate potential outages during upgrade windows.

Any updates on the new schedule?

Apparently since it was postponed they are not rescheduling until 11.17 is released.  If you want 11.16 go to jamf account and schedule an update.  I've asked why that wasn't clearly stated here.

Personally I'd be hesitant to update if whatever lead to a delay was significant enough that they're not going to bother at all... Have inquired with our rep, but haven't gotten any response. =/

Updated Post.  They are mass updating clouds next weekend. (May 16-17)

I really appreciate updating this and sending us an email advising on the new deployment date. However, this post is still buried back 3 weeks ago and having a new post reference this one or a stickie would make it easier to find on Jamf Nation pointing out something has changed for those who may not get the emails or missed them.
