How to disable imessage, maps, podcasts, apple tv, etc on MacOS using Jamf School?

We have users using these built in apps the MacOS provides and cannot disable them using Jamf School. Tried using paths to disallow applications but it isn't working. For ipads, this is very easy to do, but for MacOS there see,ms to be more involved for this to work. Has anyone successfully done this?Untitled.png

I would like to mention that I disabled Facetime, iMessage from Apple School Manager. I performed a restart as well, I am still able to click on the icon.

I tried this, it didnt work. Jamf School is the only way for me to get it to work, but the icons are still there. Wanted to get those removed too but cannot do that with jamf school

Hello,
This solution blocks the application. But it doesn't remove the icon from the Applications folder.
This isn't possible on macOS with Jamf School.

However, what can be done is to configure the dock and only display authorized applications. This will make it less tempting for the user to open a prohibited application.

I cannot provide you answer for Macs, sorry. But how did you do it for iPads? so far the only solution we used is using Layouts to remove the app icons, but we have not figured out how to completly remove these apps on iPads.

Below the layout frame, you need to check "Replace safelist and exclusion list settings with this layout."

In this case, only the Settings app remains. All other apps not in the layout will not be on the iPad.

macbooks and ipads are different on how you disable apps. Ipads are a lot easier to do and convenient

Hello,
A quick clarification.
Is the scope of the profile correctly defined?
If it is, is it properly installed on the devices and up to date?
Does this apply to Macs with different operating systems, or do they all have the same operating system?

Hello, is it properly scoped, I did check that. It took a bit for Jamf School to take effect onto the macbooks but it eventually worked. I had to make sure the file name in properties was the one being used. I wanted to have the icon removed as well so users dont try to click on it. Ipads this can happen but for macbooks that isnt the case. A custom profile will have to be made and tested with I guess. Thank you for your help everyone.
